Working Sectors & Social Initiatives

1. Human Rights & Constitutional Liberties Protection

Primary Sector

The primary objective of the Council is to safeguard, monitor, and defend fundamental human rights and civil liberties guaranteed under the Constitution of India and international human rights charters. We actively intervene in cases of custodial torture, police apathy, unlawful detention, discrimination based on caste or religion, and administrative abuse of power.

2. Action Against Illegal Mining & Environmental Degradation

Primary Sector

As recorded in our MOA INC-13 charter, our council actively creates public awareness and pursues legal measures against illegal coal mining, iron ore theft, stone quarrying, and riverbed sand mining mafia in Paschim Bardhaman and surrounding industrial districts. We protect public ecology and prevent severe environmental destruction.

3. Anti-Corruption & Public Grievance Redressal

Primary Sector

We promote transparency, ethical governance, and public accountability by exposing bribery, corrupt administrative practices, illegal land grabbing, and fraudulent land transactions. Our grievance cell assists common citizens in filing official complaints before anti-corruption bureaus and higher courts.

4. Eradication of Child Labour & Human Trafficking

Welfare Sector

Working for the prevention and complete eradication of child labour, bonded labour, forced labour, human trafficking, and underage exploitation. We provide rehabilitation support, legal protection, and educational enrollment for rescued children.

6. Women Rights & Senior Citizen Protection

Social Sector

Preventing domestic violence, gender-based violence, sexual harassment at workplace, dowry torture, and abandonment of senior citizens. We provide legal counseling, crisis intervention, and skill development for women self-reliance.

7. Environmental Protection & Plantation Drive

Ecological Sector

Organizing mass tree plantation drives, combating industrial chemical pollution, advocating against deforestation, and protecting river ecosystems across industrial corridors.

8. Free Health Camps & Emergency Medical Aid

Healthcare Sector

Conducting free diagnostic medical checkups, eye testing camps, emergency blood donation drives, and assisting poor patients with government health scheme enrollments.
